first steps
Today is October 4, 2005
And this is a page off my diary. I plan to chronicle my thoughts and ideas as they flow by. Note that I carefully choose my words to say ‘plan’, because inevitably, that’s what it always remains, a plan.
Ok, now that I’ve gotten that out, we can get down to business.
Like any other proper peice of communication, I am laying out the purpose outright, clarifying the objective of this entire exercise.
Just feel like rambling on – providing myself some reading material for later. It was always fun reading my old diaries, to laugh, scoff or ponder at. Mostly to see what I was doing this day that year. Did I know that I would be Here, doing This today? How far have I strayed off the mark? Would the Me of Yesteryears approve of the Me of Today?
In fact it gives a very evolved (& convoluted) sense of purpose to the entire exercise - writing to the Me of the future, connecting with the Me of the past.
So, there are a lot of thoughts, random or otherwise, that are tumbling out and rushing past the peripheral line of sight:
Family, travels & travails, cooking (and learning to eat it), books, movies, my almost green-grey thumb, learnings and insights, peppered with instances..
Oh and Lots of nostalgia..
